People who meet income guidelines, pass a pre-application and application process, are able to pay back monthly on a low-interest loan, and able to do "sweat equity" to help build their home (no previous skills required!) Type of service: Housing What they do: Rent low-income housing, provide vouchers and housing assistance Who is eligible? People who meet income guidelines (varies based on program and number of people in the household) Referral needed? No Best way to access services: Walk in and fill out application. Then they will set up an appointment for you to come back in.
MCS Community Services (Morgan/Cass/Scott) Type of service: Housing, Rent Assistance is program has funds available What they do: Rental assistance, transitional housing, supportive housing Who is eligible? Open to those have been given a legal eviction notice by landlord in serving counties (must have verifiable income), and/or who meet income or other program guidelines. See website for full details.
