MCS Community Services (Morgan/Cass/Scott)

Type of service: Utility assistance
What they do: Weatherization, Energy Assistance
Who is eligible? Open to those who meet income or other program guidelines. See website for details.

Morgan County Health Department​

Type of service: Food assistance
What they do: WIC, Lactation consultant, Lactation educator
Who is eligible? low-income pregnant women, postpartum women up to six months after delivery, breastfeeding women up to 12 months after delivery, infants up to one year of age, and/or children up to their fifth birthday (see website for income guidelines)

Type of service: Cash assistance, Food assistance, Medical benefits
What they do: Cash assistance, SNAP, Medical card
Who is eligible? Those who meet income requirements based on household size

​Type of service: Emergency Food, Clothing, and Utilities
What they do: Provide lunch daily, food distribution weekly, referrals for emergency food, vouchers for clothing, emergency assistance with water, power, and rent, prescriptions, non-narcotics, antibiotics, and glasses. 
Who is eligible? Lunch is open to everyone, Friday food distribution is open to everyone. Call to apply for other assistance.

Jacksonville Food Center

Type of service: Food Center
What they do: Provide emergency food every 60 days, and bakery/produce every week
Who is eligible? Emergency food provided based on family size and income, once every 60 days. Bakery/produce open to all Mordan County residents. 
Referral needed? Referral required from one of the following: Salvation Army, The Laborers' Home, MCS Services, Public Aid, Prairie Council on Aging, Memorial Behavioral Health, JACIL, Volunteers of America, Women's Crisis Center.
Best way to access services: For produce/bakery, walk in. For emergency food box, must have a referral.

Brown Bag Lunches: Saturday and Sunday - 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm at Congressional United Church of  Christ in Jacksonville. Open to anyone.

HELPS Ministry Outreach
